Description

Pasture Raised Bone Matrix Marrow is rich in nutrients growth factors, stem cells, soluble activators, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and trace minerals found only in marrow bones that build, repair and maintain living bones and connective tissue.* Hemopoietic stem cells  produce three main types of blood cells; red blood cells – which carry oxygen around the body, white blood cells – which help fight infection, platelets  - which stop bleeding by assisting with blood clotting.  Stromal stem cells produce fat, cartilage and new bone. As a result nutrients from freeze dried red and yellow marrow and bone matrix may improve blood health, bone and joint health.* Low temperature freeze drying keeps any heat sensitive enzymes, peptides, vitamins and minerals in tact.

Bone Marrow Matrix also contains glycine and proline important amino acids necessary in the production of heme, the part of the blood that carries oxygen.  They are also a precursor amino acid for glutathione that's produced naturally by the liver and involved in many processes in the body, including tissue building, wound repair, making chemicals and proteins to strengthen the immune system.  They are also involved in glucogenesis (the manufacture of glucose) along with supporting digestion by enhancing gastric acid secretion.  Glycine, Proline and Hydroxyproline  are amino acids essential to the structure of collagen and therefore contribute to healthy bones, skin, ligaments, tendons and cartilage.

BONE MARROW CONTAINS

  • Glycine, proline, hydroxyproline that may contribute to improving gut health.*
  • Amino acids, vitamins, minerals, glycosamine and hyaluronic acid that may support stronger bones and joints.*
  • Vitamins: Vitamin A, vitamin K2, omega 3 & 6. *
  • Minerals: iron, zinc, selenium, boron and manganese are typically found in bone marrow matrix. *
  • No hormones, no GMO's, no additives, no fillers, no stearates.

THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Manufacturing bone marrow matrix is carried out by soaking the leg bones (femur bones rich in marrow) in a mild salty, acidic water to optimise the extraction process, to release the rich bone marrow along with other amino acids as well as glycosaminoglycans from the bone.   Australian Murray River Salt and Apple Cider Vinegar is used to maintain optimum pH and conditions to extract all the nutritional elements from the bone. The solid bone is then removed by straining and the remaining liquor is vacuum dried to remove water and retain the marrow matrix heat sensitive vitamins, minerals and peptides. Following the drying process the bone marrow matrix extract is milled into a powder which contains marrow as well as other minerals and natural salts from the bone, including peptides, collagen and glycosaminoglycans GAG's.

AUSTRALIAN LAKE EYRE BEEF

The farms where we source our beef have been handed down and stayed in the same families for generations. The families care about the land and their animals. Health and welfare of our livestock is also closely monitored by a world class biosecurity system to prevent diseases and to ensure the BSE Free reputation of the Australian Meat Industry.

Our Lake Eyre Beef are regularly tested to be free of antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides as part of Australian Government Standards.   All of our cattle are inspected by Australian Veterinary Officers prior to being processed, they undergo pre mortem and post mortem inspection, carried out by qualified inspectors.  Strict government licensing and audits of all procedures occur to ensure our Australian Freeze Dried beef bone matrix powder is authentic, traceable back to the farm, to ensure our customers have total confidence for food safety,  efficacy and origin.

A strict cold chain has to be adhered to so that as soon as the beef bones are collected they are immediately and quickly frozen to minus 20 Celsius to prevent spoilage and growth of pathogens.  Once quickly frozen to -20 Celsius the Frozen Beef is stored in Cold Stores at -20 Celsius until ready for extraction and drying. The cold chain between Cold Storage and Freeze Drying including milling into a powder is HACCP certified.  The final step in the process is third party testing for purity and food safety compliance before releasing product to customers.
