Salty Keto Crackers (Crunchy, Low Carb & Savoury)

Most keto crackers miss the point.

They’re soft.
They’re almond-heavy.
Or they taste like diet food pretending to be normal food.

These salty keto crackers are thin, crisp, and properly savoury. They work with dips, cheese, meat — or straight off the tray when you want crunch without carbs.

This is a repeatable snack, not a novelty bake.

Why These Work on Keto

  • Low carb, high fat

  • Proper crunch (not crumbly)

  • No sugar, no sweeteners

  • Simple ingredients

  • Salt-forward for real satisfaction

They scratch the cracker itch without waking up cravings.

Ingredients (Makes ~30 Crackers)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella

  • ½ cup finely grated parmesan

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tbsp almond flour

  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder

  • ½–¾ tsp sea salt

  • Optional: Chili Lime Shaker

(This combo gives structure without making them dense or bready.)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. Melt the mozzarella
Microwave for 30–45 seconds until just melted and stretchy.

  3. Mix
Add parmesan, egg, almond flour, psyllium, salt, and any seasoning.
    Mix until a dough forms.

  4. Roll thin
Place dough between two sheets of baking paper.
Roll to 2–3 mm thick. Thinner = crunchier.

  5. Score into crackers
Use a knife or pizza cutter to score squares.

  6. Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden and firm.

  7. Cool completely
Let cool on the tray. They crisp as they cool.

Crunch Control (This Matters)

  • Still soft? Bake 5 minutes longer

  • Uneven browning? Flip tray halfway

  • Want extra crunch? Turn oven off and leave inside for 10 minutes

Crackers are about patience, not rushing.

How to Eat Them

  • With sour cream or cream cheese

  • Alongside eggs or meat

  • With keto dips

  • Plain, straight from the jar

They hold up to dipping — no crumbling mess.

Storage

  • Airtight container, 3–4 days

  • Best at room temp

  • Re-crisp in oven for 2–3 minutes if needed

Humidity softens them. That’s normal.

Why Salty Snacks Matter on Keto

When keto feels hard, it’s usually not carbs you’re missing.

It’s:

  • Salt

  • Crunch

  • Mouthfeel

These crackers solve that without breaking ketosis or relying on sweet flavours.

Simple food. Real satisfaction.
